Section One- Review

Since the start of my Level three acting course, I am most positive about the improvement of my skills overall and as a performer, I believe that my confidence has significantly improved, allowing my acting to reach to higher limits. I believe many skills were enhanced through the research I have done on Stanislavski, In doing this I find my acting to be natural as I now "Become the role", "being in the moment" and I have more fun with it. Adding on due to workshops (Broken heart theatre) and other companies (Camden youth theatre), we were given many tips and advice which I have and will be using in the future such as, repetition, give a response to the action and so on. What ever I end up doing in the future, which is related to acting, I believe that all the skills I have picked up in September will be useful, whether it is putting it to action or teaching it.

Section Two- Project Concept

For this terms production we worked on Love and Information by Caryl Churchill. This play is a very interesting play because, from my perspective, it doesn't really have a story line. What I mean by this is that there were individual stories within each scene, meaning there was a different plot for each scene. Although it doesn't have a story line, a lot of themes are found within the play such as love, betrayal, religion, friendships and more, but an exciting part of this whole project is that we were given the script and were told to perform it however we saw fit to it, so we created our own characters to the play. This meant that we created our own characters background, our own relations to other actors. What my group decided to do was to link up some of the scenes which had similar characters which we made, we then swapped some of the orders of the scenes so the audience would not be to confused. Our main goal that we sought of the play was to demonstrate and illustrate the concept of love, trust and perspective within the characters. We did this through many methods such as ensemble within characters, repetition and many more. Although my group enjoyed this unit, there was the challenge of agreeing what we wanted to do with the play at the start. The issue of having a play with our own perspectives is that the ideas are endless and with a group of 12 or so, there are a lot of different views. We then had a point in rehearsals that we didn't know what we was actually going to do, but eventually we made it through.

Section Three- Evaluation

I believe that both of my performances were a success, I used many of the methods that I have been taught and have mentioned. Our performance was good but we were given pointers by our teachers, which we then implemented within our second performance and I believe was better. There were many methods in which I was evaluated; such as self evaluation, teacher evaluation, pupil evaluation and audience reviews. As in evaluation of the play I found it very easy due to many reasons, one being that the play wasn't very long nor complicated. Secondly every note or change we had, we would edit it with a pencil, therefore if we wanted to change it, we would replace it.

Review:

During this project, various techniques were implemented by different play-writes; such as Brecht, Shakespeare, Checkov and Stanavslaski. During the scene The child who didn't know pain Danielle and I said the same line at the same time. This technique is called ensemble which I developed from Bertholt Brecht, a German playwrite. I also developed many other techniques that helped me: such as multi rolling
